The Dallas Entertainment Awards are back for their second year, and if Sunday night’s Meet & Greet Showcase was any indication, this year’s event is set to be a seismic moment for the city’s music scene. The energy was electric, the talent was undeniable, and the room was packed with Dallas musicians and DJs, setting the stage for an exciting awards week ahead.

Celebrating Greatness Through Diversity.

The showcase brought together a lineup of top Dallas artists who have been making serious waves, proving why they belong among the elite in the Dallas music industry. Each performance was a statement—a declaration that Dallas is shaping the future of music.
Featured Performers: Gracen Wynn, Scuttino, Pet Taxi, Furlow, Lighthouse, Astrogirl, and Curl delivered standout performances that showcased the depth and diversity of Dallas’ music scene.

Really, it’s that sheer diversity that makes the Dallas music scene so great. Just taking a look around Double Wide that evening (& most) is like looking around the intro scene of The Warriors, where nine delegates from every New York City gang travel to Van Cortland Park, coming together for an all-city midnight summit called by Cyrus, the leader of Grammercy Griffs, the most powerful gang, who is proposing a citywide truce and alliance to the assembled crowd, allowing the gangs to control the city together since they collectively outnumber the police by 3 to 1. If you haven’t seen this movie yet, get to it! Each gang is unique in their own way from their hairstyles, wardrobes, dialects, etc. In many ways, the Dallas music scene is like this with each band and their stans, having their unique looks and styles, committed to the tiniest details, all displaying greatness in their form of expression. Isn’t it fitting that in Dallas, we have our own Cyrus, in Dezi5 who is the boisterous host of the Dallas Entertainment Awards.

DJs Kept the Party Going

No celebration is complete without the right soundtrack, and SOHO Housepitlity kept the energy groovin’ between the live acts. Double Wide is always blast bouncing back and forth from the main venue, back to DJs making people dance at the main bar. With DJs Sama Lone, Demarkus Lewis, Theron, Stephen Carmona, and Littlz at the helm, they delivered sets that kept the crowd moving with positive vibes.

The night wasn’t just about celebrating nominees—it was a testament to the thriving Dallas entertainment community. Artists, industry insiders, and fans alike mingled, exchanging stories and inspirations, setting the tone for the main event ahead.

It’s moments like these that aren’t just a music networking event—but more of a cultural moment that showcased the strength and vibrancy of Dallas’ music and nightlife scene. If you missed it, we are glad we were there and able to tell you about it, along with some photos from our own @Anteeezy / @HiddenFriends.
